Pakistan airstrike: Afghanistan retaliates

Afghanistan has retaliated to Pakistan's airstrikes.

Pakistan's attack

Afghanistan has retaliated after Pakistan's military operation aimed at eliminating insurgents by destroying a training camp in eastern Afghanistan's Paktika province on Tuesday.

Many civilians, especially women and children, were killed in these attacks by Pakistan.

The Afghan Defense Ministry announced on Saturday that it had retaliated to Pakistan's airstrikes a few days ago.

In it, it said that its army had attacked several locations inside Pakistani territory.

Afghan response

The Taliban's Defense Ministry confirmed in a statement on the X website that it had carried out retaliatory attacks.

It also said that it had targeted "centers and hideouts" for militants and their supporters who were coordinating attacks inside Afghanistan.

The ministry did not provide details on the casualties or how the attacks were carried out.

Pakistani officials have consistently accused the Taliban of not taking sufficient steps to prevent cross-border terrorist activities.

Pakistan's Foreign Ministry did not respond to requests for comment.
