Small plane crashes in Scotland: 50-year-old pilot dies in tragic accident

 




A pilot has tragically died in a small plane crash in Scotland.

On December 23, a small plane crashed into the ground near Fife Airport in Scotland.


The 50-year-old pilot died at the scene.


A rescue helicopter and specialist teams from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were immediately dispatched to the scene.


The SFRS confirmed that they were called at 11:38 am and immediately responded to the scene.


The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) has launched a full investigation into the crash.


A team of investigators is currently examining the scene and collecting evidence to determine the cause of the crash.


Police Scotland confirmed that no one else was injured in the crash and that the investigation is ongoing.


Pife Airport is a small airport used primarily by local flying clubs.
