News with video evidence emerged that the Russian cargo ship Ursa Major has sunk in international waters between Spain and Algeria after being damaged.

While 14 crew members on board have been rescued, two are reported missing.

While the horrific incident is said to have occurred due to an explosion in the engine room, initial reports do not provide any information about the cause of the explosion in the engine room.

It is noteworthy that this cargo ship belongs to the Russian defense company Oboronlogistika.

Terrorist attack

In this situation, the owner of the Russian cargo ship “Ursa Major” has accused its owner of a “terrorist attack” as the reason for the sinking.

Ukraine's military intelligence agency said the Ursa Major, previously known as the Sparta III, was sent to Syria to retrieve weapons and military equipment after the Assad regime was overthrown.
