Prime Minister Keir Starmer has shared information for the first time regarding the threat posed by Russian President Vladimir Putin to Britain.
At the Naval Headquarters
Norway and Britain have also launched a new security agreement. Following the very dangerous crisis in which many secret data were stolen by Russia, the two countries have also agreed to intensify security measures.
Not only that, the intelligence services of both countries have also agreed to take action against eavesdropping devices installed by countries like Russia.
Intelligence agencies have also indicated that since Norway is located very close to Russia, Putin can easily advance his game.
On the occasion of a special conference of 10 countries, British Prime Minister Sir Keir was given high-level intelligence data at the Norwegian Naval Headquarters.
In this, it has been warned that Russia could take measures that could bring Britain to a complete standstill, including local security disruptions, attacks on critical infrastructure, and cutting off electricity or gas pipelines.
Focus on defensive measures
Prime Minister Starmer, who is well aware of the threat from Russia, is said to be focusing on measures to protect Britain and its allies.
Norway faces a crisis of Russian eavesdropping efforts since 930 miles of maritime border and 125 miles of land border with Russia.
In this situation, Britain's security measures in Norway have been increased threefold since 2021. It is noteworthy that an additional 5,000 military personnel are also involved in training activities every year.
