Meeting to strengthen India-Sri Lanka relations: Sri Lankan President’s first foreign visit

 




The Ministry of External Affairs today confirmed that President Anura Kumara Dissanayake will visit India from 15 to 17 December 2024 at the invitation of Indian President Smt. Draupadi Murmu.


This will be his first foreign visit after assuming office as President.


During the visit, President Dissanayake will meet Indian President Smt. Draupadi Murmu and hold bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Indian dignitaries on various matters of mutual interest.


The visit will further enhance and strengthen the long-standing relations between the two countries, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, Overseas Employment and Tourism.
