Up to 11 people have died in a massive fire accident on Jaipur road.
Lorry collision accident
A massive fire accident broke out on Ajmer Road in Jaipur this morning. At least 11 people were killed and more than 40 were injured.
The accident took place at around 5:30 am when a lorry collided with other vehicles.
During a massive explosion at a nearby petrol pump, a CNG tanker parked near the pump caught fire, setting the surrounding vehicles on fire.
The impact of the explosion was immense, and reports say that a series of explosions occurred as the fuel tanks exploded.
Vehicles within a radius of 300 meters were completely burnt in the fire.
The explosion was reportedly heard 10 kilometers away.
Black smoke was said to have risen in the sky, visible for several kilometers.
Rescue operations were underway to extinguish the fire and rescue the injured. At least 28 people are in critical condition.
Initial investigations have revealed that the truck that first collided was carrying a dangerous chemical.
