A leading French bank is launching a crypto investment service in 2025.
BPCE, one of France’s leading banks, plans to launch Bitcoin and Crypto investment services for its customers through its subsidiary Hexarq from 2025.
Hexarq recently obtained a PSAN (Prestataire de Services sur Actifs Numériques) license from the French financial market regulator AMF (Autorité des marchés financiers).
This gives Hexarq the legal right to operate in the digital assets market in France.
Hexarq, which holds a PSAN license, can engage in activities such as holding, buying, selling and exchanging crypto assets.
BPCE is the second bank in France to receive a PSAN license, after SG Forge Bank.

With the MiCA regulations fully implemented on December 30, 2024, France is a leader in crypto regulation.
