On Sunday, Malika Al Kattib (8), who lived with her parents in Co Wexford, Ireland, was sleeping in the attic of their house.

At around 11.45pm, Malika heard a loud noise downstairs and came downstairs to find her mother, Aisha Al Katib (31), stabbed.
Malika immediately rushed to save her mother, but she was also stabbed.
Police who arrived on the scene took both of them to hospital. However, Malika died a short time later.
Yesterday, news broke that a man in his 30s had been arrested in connection with the incident, which shocked the local community.
Shocking information about the killer
In this situation, shocking information has now been released that the one who stabbed Malika and her mother was her father, Mohammad Shakir (34).
The arrested Mohammad has been produced in court.
He has been charged with murdering Malika and attempting to murder her mother, Aisha.
