Fog has disrupted air traffic at major airports in Britain.
Flight cancellations and delays
Dense fog covering much of Britain has caused significant disruption to air traffic at several major airports, including London Heathrow, London Gatwick and Manchester.
The fog blanketing Britain has left the country's three busiest airports struggling to maintain normal flight services following the Christmas holiday.
Numerous departures at London Gatwick and Manchester airports have been delayed by between one and three hours.
At Heathrow, British Airways has been forced to cancel some flights, while others are being delayed.
The disruption is expected to continue throughout the evening.
Passenger advisory
Airports advise passengers to contact their airlines before proceeding to the airport due to air traffic restrictions imposed due to foggy conditions.
