A mother is fighting to save her daughter, who suffers from a dangerous blood disorder.
Low platelet count
Mobeen Hussain took her nine-year-old daughter Amila to the doctor earlier this year, complaining of frequent bruising all over her body.
Doctors conducted tests and found that Amila had a low platelet count and aplastic anemia.
Aplastic anemia is a rare disorder that occurs when the bone marrow is unable to produce enough new blood cells for the body to function normally.
In the current situation, a stem cell transplant is the only solution to save Amila's life. But there is currently no one suitable to donate stem cells.
Doctors believe that this condition needs to be treated quickly, and the better the treatment, the better Amila will recover. Her mother, Mobeen Hussain, said.
Stem cell donation is
Mobin Hussain has made a plea for people between the ages of 16 and 30 to come forward to donate stem cells. Mobin Hussain, who is from a Pakistani background, has expressed his concern that no one in the UK has come forward to donate stem cells to save his daughter.
But he said that people with a European background do not have such a problem. Stem cell donation is the gift of life; it is a precious gift that can be given to anyone, Mobin Hussain said.
It is said that only about 100 to 150 people in the UK are affected by aplastic anaemia each year. Moreover, it is most common in people between the ages of 10 and 20 and in people over 60.
