Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bat. Accordingly, Abdul Malik and Chetigiullah Atal came out as openers.
The two played like anchors, making it difficult for Zimbabwe bowlers to take wickets.
191-run partnership
After Atal registered his first international half-century, Malik also scored his first half-century.
This partnership scored 191 runs in 210 balls. Abdul Malik was dismissed for 84 runs off 101 balls with 1 six and 11 fours.
However, Atal scored his maiden century off 124 balls with 4 sixes and 8 fours.
