The National Lottery, the famous British lottery company, has celebrated its 30th anniversary.
To mark the company's 30th anniversary, it organized a photo session in London that brought together 30 lottery millionaires from the past 30 years.
Famous British photographer Rankin () captured the photographs of the winners of this rare historic event.
The millionaires, who collectively raised more than £190 million, gathered in London to celebrate this life-changing achievement.
The photo series features major lottery winners Lesley Higgins from Aberdeenshire, Gareth Bull from Mansfield, Jackie King from Grimsby, and 2005 winner Sarah Cockings. They came from different places and participated in the event.
Rankin says, “These millionaires are ordinary people, but they endure an extraordinary experience that completely changed their lives. I was very excited to hear how their lives changed and we tried to capture this in our photographs.”
Sarah Cockings, who won in 2005, shared her experience, “It has completely changed my family's life. I have completed my education, bought a house and am now living with four children,” he said.
Since the first day of the National Lottery's inception, 7,400 lottery millionaires have been created so far. Also, £95 billion is awarded to the winners.
