Donald Trump has appointed the owner of the Houston Rockets as the US ambassador to Italy.

In that regard, he has now announced the ambassador to Italy. In the announcement made by Trump,

'I am pleased to announce that Tilman J. Fertitta has been nominated to serve as the US ambassador to Italy.'

Tilman J. Fertitta is the owner of the NBA team Houston Rockets.

Trump also noted that Tillman was a long-time chairman of the Board of Regents of the University of Houston.
