A prehistoric cave has been discovered in France, and some surprising things have been revealed there.
The Chauvet cave
A cave called The Chauvet-Pont-d'Arc Cave has been discovered in Ardèche, southern France.
The cave was discovered in 1994, and it has been revealed that there are paintings in the cave that date back to about 36,000 years ago.
The cave has many special features, such as the cave containing the world's best cave paintings and a cave from the Paleolithic era.
The public is not allowed to visit the cave. Archaeologists are continuing to conduct research on the surprising cave.
