Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Thunder clashed in the Big Bash League 2024 match in Canberra.


Batting first, Adelaide Strikers scored 182 for 8. Jamie Overton scored 45 runs off 35 balls with 4 sixes, while Weatherold scored 40 runs off 19 balls with 2 sixes and 6 fours.


Lockie Ferguson and Chris Green took 3 wickets each, while D Sangha took 2 wickets.


David Warner out

Then Sydney Thunder's David Warner was out for 7 runs. Bancroft came in for 6 runs.


Sam Konstas, who was in action, made 56 runs in 27 balls. 19-year-old Sam Konstas made the record of being the youngest player to score a half-century on debut in BBL history.


Oliver Davis was out for 23 runs and Sam Billings for 29 runs, and wickets fell in quick succession.


Thrilling win

3 runs were needed in the last over. McEntro was out on the first ball of the over bowled by Overton.


Ferguson scored a run on the next ball, but the third ball was a dot. Daniel Sams scored a run off the 4th ball, giving Sydney Thunder a thrilling 2-wicket win.


Daniel Sams was named the Man of the Match for his 42 runs off 18 balls, which included 3 sixes and 4 fours.
