Canada Express Entry: 400 Foreigners Selected for Permanent Residency




400 foreign nationals were recently selected for permanent residency under Canada’s Express Entry program.


Canada’s Express Entry system provides a pathway for skilled foreign nationals to become permanent residents of Canada.


Under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) category, 400 invitations to apply for permanent residency were issued in the draw held on November 19, 2024.


The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in this draw was 539.


The selection took place on November 19, 2024 at 14:38:41 UTC, and followed a tie-breaking rule on July 8, 2024 at 01:41:37 UTC.


Previous draws:

  • On November 13, 2024, 400 invitations were sent under the CEC category, with a minimum CRS score of 547.

  • On October 22, 2024, 400 invitations were sent, with 539 selected with a score of 539.

  • On November 18, 2024, 174 invitations were sent through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).


Canadian Experience Class (CEC) Qualifications

  • Must have at least one year of full-time eligible work experience (or equivalent part-time work experience) in Canada within the past three years.

  • Work experience must have been obtained while holding temporary residency.

  • International or unlicensed work experience and unpaid work (e.g. volunteer work) are not permitted.


So far in November, various draws have been held under the Provincial Nominee Program, Canadian Experience Class, and French language competency categories.



The Express Entry system creates strong opportunities for skilled foreigners to live and work in Canada and obtain permanent residency.
