Local authorities said at least 73 people were killed in an Israeli attack in northern Gaza.

Israeli strikes have killed at least 73 people, including women and children, in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, according to Hamas-run authorities. Thousands are injured and many are trapped under rubble. Israel is checking reports of casualties but claims the figures published by Hamas authorities are exaggerated. Fighting continues in southern Lebanon and the south of Beirut, with Israel claiming to have attacked around 175 terrorist targets in Gaza and Lebanon over the past day.

A bombing in Beit Lahia, Gaza, killed 73 people, according to the Hamas-run government media office and Gaza's civil defense agency. The attacks destroyed an entire residential complex, and rescue efforts are currently hindered by severed communications and internet services. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) claimed the casualties given by the Hamas office were exaggerated and that such sources had proven unreliable in previous incidents. The latest strikes come just hours after reports of heavy gunfire from Israeli troops at the Indonesian Hospital in the city. Israel began a renewed military offensive in northern Gaza in early October to prevent Hamas from regrouping.

Israeli forces have bombarded the densely-populated Jabalia area, including an urban refugee camp, killing at least 33 people in a strike. Humanitarian groups warn that no aid has entered the area in recent weeks, and aid deliveries to Gaza have collapsed compared to September. UN's top humanitarian official, Joyce Msuya, has called for the "atrocities" to stop. Israel denies preventing aid from entering Gaza, but the US has instructed it to increase access or risk losing some military assistance.

Israel conducted at least a dozen air strikes on Beirut, causing significant damage and casualties. The Israeli military targeted Hezbollah's weapons storage facilities and intelligence headquarters in Dahieh. Smoke rose from southern Beirut, prompting the evacuation of two neighborhoods. The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) warned civilians that they were near Hezbollah-affiliated facilities and interests, which it plans to work against in the future. The damage and casualties are still being assessed.
